Japanese Internet Speed Achieves 32 Billion Kbps

A new optical technology being tested in Japan. Fierce, technology is able to reach speeds of 30 terabit per second (Tbps) or more than 32 billion Kbps. (Strictly speaking 32,212,254,720 Kbps, based on conversion via Google).

The test had been conducted by KDDI R & D Labs with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Japan. Tested using the technology called OFDM transmission aka Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex.
