Nokia Acquires Symbian

Nokia LogoNokia announced his plan to acquire 52% of the Symbian share. Along with that, they also made an announcement to make Symbian as an open source operating system towards him to compete with Google Android, Google open source operating system for cellular phone. Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said that they wanted to create the “most interesting platform for the mobile innovation and pushed web based application development.”

Nokia and several the biggest cellular phone producers of the world at this time used Symbian to operate various smart cellular phones.

All the big Symbian shareholders including Sony Ericsson, Panasonic and Siemens that represented 91% Symbian share accepted the Nokia offer. Nokia did still not receive the certain answer from Samsung Electronics, but estimated that they will also accept this offer.

Like that was reported by Techcraver, this decision possibility was taked as the answer to the Android operating system from Google that it was reported will experience the delay in the launching.
