Windows Vista SP2 Beta Release This Sunday

Windows XP SP2 OutAlthough Microsoft will give priority to the promotion of Windows 7 and Strata (Windows Cloud) in the PDC this week, they also do not forget Windows Vista. Windows Vista developer team said that they will release a beta version of Windows Vista SP2 on Wednesday on 29 October.

In addition to fix various stability improvements, performance and compatibility as well as all the previous Windows service pack, Vista SP2 will also deliver support for new hardware and features:

  • Windows Vista SP2 add Search 4.0 that accelerate and improve the relevance of the search.
  • Discussion Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack to support the latest Bluetooth specification.
  • Capability to record data in Blue-ray by default.
  • Adding the Windows Connect Now (WCN) for easy configuration wifi.
  • Vista SP2 allows filesystem exFAT to support file synchronization in a different time zone.

Date surely release of the final version of SP2 is not yet known, Mike Nash in Windows Vista only said that “the date for final release of Vista SP2 will be determined based on quality” - of course, Microsoft does not want Vista SP2 to cause damage to computer users, as happened when Vista SP1 was first released.
