What is AMP? Google AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages is a project from Google. Creating a site loading process becomes very fast. At least, increase to 4x faster.

AMP first launched in February 2016. Currently, some websites are starting to try out their sophistication on it. AMP makes mobile site technology or responsive web themes that used to look sophisticated as it sounds.

Lack of AMP

  • Minimalist look – Google AMP automatically disables elements that slow down your website – such as plugins, themes, widgets, and more – so your content will look minimalistic.
  • Many plugins and widgets don’t work in AMP – Because plugins and widgets can slow down load time, Google’s AMP disables them.
  • Many of the JavaScript set by website owners don’t run in AMP – Google AMP will disable JavaScript that has the potential to slow down load times.
  • Possibility of removing some ads on the page – Not all ads support Google AMP.
